Fisheries data:

January 1995 An immature female with a total length of 79 cm was caught in the North Sea area known as the White Bank [55°N, 6°E], at a depth of 20-40 m, by the Dutch vessel UK67 (de Jong & Verhulst, 1995: p. 86, photo).
5 August 1977 A large female with a length of 116 cm and a width of 75 cm was caught 20 miles north of Ameland, at a depth of 36 m, by the Dutch vessel UK208 (Nijssen, 1978: p. 247-248, photo).
10 September 1970 Specimen caught in the North Sea area known as the West Hole [53°05'N, 2°50'E] by the Dutch vessel TK2, no further details (de Groot, 1971: p. 17, photo p. 16).
18 October 1964 Texelse Stenen, Texel, no further details (Nijssen, 1978: p. 248).
