Rare species in the Dutch North Sea region (Nijssen & de Groot, 1987, p. 66). During the last decades R. undulata has not been recorded anymore and is now considered to be no longer part of the Dutch fauna (Nijssen, 2001, p. 42). In the last ten years only a few egg-capsules of R. undulata have been found on the Dutch beaches (Bor, 1998, p. 38).
